About iT1 Nucleos

Empowering learners.
Transforming lives.

iT1 Nucleos was formed when iT1 acquired Nucleos Inc. — uniting iT1's enterprise scale with Nucleos's public-benefit mission to promote a more just society through education and training.

The acquisition

Two companies. One mission.

Nucleos started in 2017 as a public benefit corporation, backed by the National Science Foundation, on a simple conviction: education and training are the most reliable engines of dignity and mobility, and their benefits should reach the people who have the least access to them. Not only in a classroom or a facility, but everywhere people learn, work, and start over. After years of partnership, iT1 acquired Nucleos to scale that mission with the full weight of an enterprise technology partner behind it.

Today, iT1 Nucleos delivers AchieveDXP, hardware, services, and managed deployments as a single, accountable program, from initial procurement through every learner outcome, for agencies, schools, colleges, and workforce partners alike.

Our manifesto

Technology moves faster every year. Nothing about that progress guarantees it reaches the people who need it most.

There is nothing inherently humanist about technological growth. The same tools that expand what people can do can just as easily leave people behind. We started Nucleos to make sure they don't.

Education and training are how people grow. The ability to think, to speak, and to create is what makes us human, and its benefits should be extended to everyone, especially the people with the least access and the most to gain: adult learners, students, workers in transition, and people rebuilding their lives after the justice system.

We call it Human Tech: technology that makes people stronger instead of replacing them. We built Nucleos as a mission-driven company, so we would be more than a company that provides technology. We hold ourselves accountable for making sure the technology we build delivers real value to the people who need it most.

There have to be things that move us as we forge ahead. This is ours.

Our mission To promote a more just society through education and training.
What we stand for

Four principles, lived every day

Outcomes over outputs

We don't ship features. We ship completed courses, earned credentials, and successful reentries. The metric is impact.

Security as respect

Our learners and partners deserve a platform that takes their data, their dignity, and their context seriously — by design, not by exception.

Partnership over transaction

From iT1: relationships compound. We're not in this for the PO. We're in this for the program — and the people in it.

Evidence, always

Every claim we make is measurable. Every program is reported. Every funder, board, and oversight body deserves the receipts.

Our story

Two histories, one platform

One company built enterprise technology for government. The other built a mission-driven platform for the people that technology usually leaves out. In 2026 the two branches became one.
